A qualifying paper which checks candidate's reasoning , decision making skills and aptitude
CSAT ( i.e. Civil service apptitude test) is introduced in UPSC to test the students' analytical skills , reasoning ability, decision making and apptitude . The paper consists of mainly reading comprehension, logical reasoning and analytical ability , and Basic numeracy .
The CSAT paper is qualifying (33 percent) and consists of 80 questions of 2.5 marks each. Although the paper is qualifying, yet the candidate should not ignore the subject as the questions papers are becoming challenging now a days
